What to expect from therapy with me...

Cozy Armchair Scene

Individual therapy sessions are 50 minutes and are designed to meet you where you are each time we meet. We'll begin by checking in about how you've been doing since our last session—celebrating successes, exploring challenges, and talking through anything that's been on your mind. Some sessions may focus on navigating current stressors, relationships, or life transitions, while others may be dedicated to processing deeper experiences or working toward your therapy goals.

Together, we'll identify practical tools and strategies that you can use between sessions to support your growth. I may offer recommendations, resources, or occasional exercises to help reinforce what we're working on and encourage continued progress outside of therapy.

Our sessions are collaborative—you are the expert on your life, and you set the pace. My role is to guide, support, and gently challenge you when it feels helpful. There will be moments of insight, moments of emotion, and yes, probably moments of laughter, too.

Above all, I want therapy to feel like a space where you can simply be yourself. You won't be judged, pressured, or expected to have everything figured out. Instead, you'll find a welcoming, compassionate environment where you can feel safe, understood, and supported as you move toward the life you want to create. Your well-being is at the heart of everything we do together.

Modalities...

EMDR

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a gentle way to address past hardships. Through guided sensory patterns, we help you reorganize challenging memories so they no longer feel overwhelming. This process allows your brain to heal naturally, lifting the burden of trauma and restoring balance.

Green Leaves Canopy

IFS

The Internal Family Systems (IFS) approach focuses on the internal dialogue between different parts of the self. We work to identify and soothe these internal 'parts' that may be carrying the weight of past experiences, fostering a sense of internal harmony and lasting emotional resilience.

Trauma-Focused

Trauma-focused therapy offers a safe, supportive space to gently process those experiences without having to relive them alone. Together, we'll work to better understand how trauma has shaped your life while helping your nervous system regain a greater sense of safety, balance, and connection by incorporating approaches from both somatic therapy and attachment-based therapy.

Smooth River Rocks

CBT & DBT

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is an evidence-based approach that helps you understand the connection between your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a skills-based approach that helps you navigate intense emotions, improve relationships, and respond to stress more effectively. DBT focuses on building mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and communication skills so you can feel more balanced, resilient, and confident in everyday life.
